Bryant is in his first year with the Alexandria Blizzard. He graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria in 2006 and pursued a degree in Sport Management at Minnesota State University-Mankato until his graduation in 2010. He is also finishing up his Masters Degree in Sport Management at Mankato with an expected graduation date in December of 2011. Bryant played four years of collegiate golf at Mankato and still enjoys hitting the links as much as possible. He recently got married and is enjoying the newlywed life with his wife Meghan. Riley started with the Blizzard in September of 2011 working in marketing and sales. He studied broadcast journalism at the Univeristy of Nebraska-Lincoln where he graduated in the Spring of 2009. He worked as an admisisons counselor at Dana College in Nebraska before starting graduate school in the fall of 2010. He persued a degree in sport management at Minnesota State University, Mankato and graduated with his Masters of Art degree in December of 2011. During the summer of 2011 Riley interned with the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball club. Riley is also the voice of the Alexandria Blizzard and serves as the public address announcer at Blizzard home games. Kaylee is an intern for the Alexandria Blizzard. She is originally from Stevens Point, Wis. where she graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 2008. Kaylee enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato to pursue a double major in Mass Media and Sport Management. Kaylee is set to graduate in May of 2013. When Kaylee is not interning with the Blizzard, waitressing at the Mexican Village or working at the college bookstore she enjoys photography, writing and hanging out with friends. This is Michaela's second year as housing coordinator for the Blizzard, and her second year hosting a player. Mic works part time for Douglas Machine here in Alexandria. When she is not busy with the Blizzard, Mic and her husband Nick can often be found at the rink with their figure skating daughter, Whitney. Valentino Hernandez is entering his 10th season of coaching overall and first year scouting with the Alexandria Blizzard. Hernandez is currently the Boys Varsity Head Coach for Chargin Falls High School in Chargin Falls, OH. He also serves as Head Coach for the Ohio Prospects U16 AAA Team, Co-Head Coach for Team Cleveland U18 AAA and an Assistant Coach for the Phantom Fireworks U18 AAA. Other coaching experience for Hernandez includes being a Head Coach for the Ohio Prospects Summer Showcase Teams from 1994-1997, as well as a Camp Evaluator for USA Hockey's Mid-America District. Hernandez is familiar with Junior Hockey on the player side as well having played for the Cleveland North Coast Barons of the Central States Hockey League and the Anaheim Jr. Ducks of the Western States Hockey League. He also participated in the USA Hockey Select 17 Festival as a Goaltender from the Mid-America District. Hernandez currently resides in Streetsboro, OH with his wife Kimberly. Chris enters his first year as a scout with the Alexandria Blizzard. A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Chris is a brilliant offensive talent experienced in every level of hockey. While playing at Duluth East, Chris played on a trio of consecutive top-3 MN State Tournmament finishers, including the 1995 championship team, All State First Team selection in 1996, 3-time All Tournament Team member, MN Mr. Hockey finalist in 96' and ranks second in Duluth East history with 256 points in 87 games which is also 9th in Minnesota state history. Following his years at Duluth East Chris went on to play 3 years at the University of Minnesota, 1 year at Wisconsin River-Falls along with 15 games at the professional level before retiring in 2002. Proceeding his years as a player Chris decided to go back to his roots in Duluth, MN. Chris is heavily involved with youth hockey as the 2010-11 Bantam A coach and also on an adminitrative level. Seth is now in his second year as a scout with the Blizzard. Originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania where he was a four-year varsity high school player for Neshaminy High School, Seth played his college hockey at Suffolk University (Div. III ECAC) in Boston Massachusetts. Seth is a Level 4 USA HOCKEY coach and has been coaching youth hockey, in ages ranging from Mites to Midgets, for the past 13 years in the state of Florida. Seth has been a hockey director, player, coach, official, as well as a rink manager in Florida. Also, he has worked with several organizations as a coach, board of director's member and as a league consultant in and around the sunshine state. Seth has recently relocated with his family back to the Greater Boston Area and will continue is scouting efforts throughout the New England States. Don played at the University of Wisconsin River Falls from 1987 – 1990. Don was honored with freshman of the year in 1988, as well as most improved and most consistent in 1989 with UW-River Falls. He was also a part of the National Championship team in 1988. Don was the Assistant Coach at Como Park for 10 years, during which they won the only conference title in school history. Don currently resides in Hastings, MN and has three daughters; Allison, Lauren & Lydia. Zac Desjardins- Scout
After playing three years of Junior hockey in Canada in the SJHL, Coach Desjardins began his coaching career at Kent State University. In 2007, he was the assistant Coach for the Campbellton Tigers in the Maritimes Junior Hockey League in Eastern Canada, followed by a year in the NAHL with the Kenai River Brown Bears as an Assistant Coach. Buoyed by his successful stints at the Tier II level both in Canada and the US, Coach Desjardins took over the San Antonio Diablos of the WSHL as Head Coach. In addition to his coaching duties, he has also been an integral part of both the Under Armour Hockey Showcase and the USJDP Junior Prep Camp, two of the top recruiting and development programs in the US.
